Weaver House, an very impressive mediaeval half-timbered building
that stands in the Street.
The
village pump and canopy, erected in 1897 to commemorate the Diamond
Jubilee of Queen Victoria. Each of the four posts of the
canopy has a carving of a Queen of England: Queen Anne, Elizabeth1,
Boadicea and Queen Victoria herself. Nearby is a moated site known
as Lady's Well a place of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. The water
from the spring was reputed to have healing properties most efficacious
in curing eye troubles.
