The Earl Soham Brewery now located in the Old Forge, brewing originally took place in an old chicken shed behind the Victoria pub.

Just beyond the pub stands Cobbold’s Row, a row of colourful almshouses named after a local brewer. This photo taken in 2003 however they are no longer almshouses, it doesn't look that different from page one.
