Bredfield, Suffolk

The funny thing about Bredfield is that sometimes nothing happens and a plague on the wall of the village pub actually records nothing at all happening on a day in1742. On a day in 1809 however something did happen; Edward Fitzgerald was born. Something else happened in 1953; a wrought-iron canopy with a golden crown, made at the village forge, was put on the crossroads pump to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's coronation.
