The Curzon Street Goods Station is a colonnaded building dating from 1838. built by Philip Hardwick its lonic portico celebrates the wonder of the then new railway industry.

Sarehole Mill in Cole Bank Road in Hall Green is Birmingham's only working water mill. The former childhood haunt of JRR Tolkien it was used as a flour mill and also to roll and smooth metal needed during the Industrial Revolution. The present buildings are mainly Georgian having been rebuilt in the 1760's and were in commercial use right up to 1919.

Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens boasts a collection of plants grown here in the 18th century, including historic herbs and vegetables species, shrubs and border plants in a classic formal layout popular in the 1700s.
